Refund policy
We do not offer money back. You see your own workspace built before
you pay, and you can pay monthly and cancel any month, so you never
have to buy a year blind.
1. Why there is no money-back guarantee
Before you pay, you see a workspace we built for your business, with your own clients in it, on a call with our founder. If you then want a smaller commitment, the monthly plan lets you stop any month. We think that beats a refund promise, so we do not make one.
There is no money-back guarantee and no paid pilot credited against a purchase. Leaving an annual plan early does not bring a refund, except in the cases in section 5.
2. Monthly plans
- You pay the monthly seat price each month, and you can cancel any month. There is no cancellation fee.

contact@editwise.iobefore your next month starts. Canceling stops the next month's charge. - The month you have already paid runs to its end. We do not refund part of a month.
- The one-time setup fee on a monthly plan is paid in 12 monthly parts. If you cancel before all 12 are paid, the parts not yet paid stay owed and are invoiced with your final monthly invoice. This is the rest of a fee already earned, not a cancellation fee.
- If we raise the monthly price, we email you at least 30 days before the first invoice that carries the new price.
3. Annual plans
- An annual plan is paid for the year, and setup is included. We do not refund the unused part of a year, except in the cases in section 5.
- Your plan renews for another year unless you decline. You can decline at any time up to the last day of your term, with no notice period and no fee.
- About 28 days before each renewal date, we email you the renewal date, the amount and how to decline.
- If you decline, you keep read access for 30 days after your term ends and can ask for a complete export, delivered within 5 working days. Our Data exit terms explain how.
4. The go-live guarantee
Before you pay, we agree a go-live date with you. If we miss it for a reason within our control, a month of seats is on us, one month at most. We give it as a credit on your next invoice or, on a prepaid annual plan, as one month added to your term. It is not paid in cash.
5. When we do pay money back
- Service credits. If uptime falls below our commitment of 99.5 percent a month, you get a service credit under our Service level agreement, capped at one month of fees a year. Credits go against your next invoice or your renewal. They are paid in cash only if your subscription ends before the credit can be applied.
- A sub-processor you object to. If you object to a new sub-processor on reasonable data protection grounds, we cannot resolve it, and that sub-processor is essential to the service, you may end the affected part of the service. We refund fees paid in advance for the unused rest of your term, with no early termination fee.
- A renewal reminder we fail to send. If we do not send your renewal reminder, the renewal does not take effect. Your subscription continues month to month, at the rates of the term that has ended, until 28 days after we send one. You can cancel at any time in that period, and we refund fees paid in advance for the unused remainder.
- EditWise not working as promised. If EditWise does not perform materially as described and we cannot fix it within 30 days of your notice, you can end the affected subscription, and we refund fees you prepaid for the period we did not deliver.
- Our breach. If we materially breach our agreement and do not fix it within 30 days of your notice, you can end it, and we refund fees you prepaid for the period after it ends.
- An infringement claim. If a claim that EditWise infringes someone else's rights forces us to end your subscription, we refund the fees you prepaid for the rest of your term.
- Leaving under the EU Data Act. If you are established in the European Union and end an annual plan early under the EU Data Act, by switching to another provider or to your own systems or by asking only for erasure, we refund the fees you prepaid for the full months that remain after your agreement ends, minus an early termination charge: the setup fee waived for your annual plan, reduced by one twelfth for each full month of the term already completed.
- Events beyond anyone's control. If such an event stops the service for more than 30 days, either of us can end the affected subscription, and we refund the fees you prepaid for the unused period.
6. Your data never depends on a bill
Export and deletion never depend on your account being paid up. If there is a dispute over fees, we pursue it as a debt, and we never hold your work, or your clients' work, over it.
