Isolation commitment

Our founder runs
a video agency. It cannot
see your clients, your
rates or your work.

Marko Živić founded EditWise. He also runs Lumaris Studio, a video production agency. If you run an agency, ask what that means before you upload a single client file. We would rather answer first, in writing.

Lumaris makes technical videos for software companies, so it rarely competes with our customers for clients. Rarely is not never. That is why this commitment exists.

What we commit to, in writing.

  1. 1.

Lumaris runs on its own EditWise workspace, like any customer. We are explicitly adding statement into our contract that we are not allowed to share any information acquired from EditWise customers.

  2. 2.

Nobody at Lumaris can see another customer’s workspace. Not your client list, not your rates, not your files, not your invoices.

  3. 3.

The wall between workspaces is built into the data layer. Automated tests try to break it on every change we make.

  4. 4.

The same controls apply to our own workspace. They are not switched off for us.

  5. 5.

We never run a sales demo from the Lumaris workspace. Every prospect sees the workspace we built for them.

  6. 6.

Nobody at EditWise looks at your content except for support you asked for, a security incident, or a legal requirement. Every such access is written to the activity log in your own workspace, where you can read it.

  7. 7.

Lumaris is never asked to review EditWise, and it is never counted as a customer.

The wall is in the data layer,
not only on the screen.

Hiding a button is not isolation. EditWise checks every request against the workspace your sign-in belongs to, at the point where the data is stored. Your workspace is taken from your verified sign-in, never from anything your browser sends.

Automated tests sign in as one workspace and try to open every kind of record in another. Every attempt must be refused, and the tests run on every change we make. Files go through the same check: each one is served only after it is confirmed to belong to your workspace.

When anyone at
EditWise looks inside
your workspace,
you can see it.

We do not look at your content unless you ask us for support, we are investigating a security incident, or the law requires it. Every time we do, it is written to the activity log in your own workspace, where you can read it.

On our calls you see your own
workspace. Nobody else’s, and nobody
sees yours.

Sales demos never run from the Lumaris workspace, and never from another customer’s. Before your call, we build a workspace for your agency from your website and the 10-minute call. That is the only one we show you, with you on the call. It also means no other agency ever sees your clients on theirs.

A prospect’s website, northframe.agency, beside the North Frame Studio workspace set up from it: the branding step of the setup checklist, with the studio’s logo, its brand color and its review link address.

The same commitment is in your contract.

Our Acceptable use policy is part of every customer’s agreement. It says:

Section 5.1

“Your workspace is yours. Other customers cannot see it. Tenant isolation is enforced at the data access layer, tenant identity is derived from the authenticated session and never from anything a browser sends, and cross-tenant access is covered by explicit automated tests.”

Section 5.2

“We do not look at your content except where necessary to provide support you have asked for, to investigate a security incident, or where legally required. Every such access is written to the activity log in your own workspace, where you can read it.”

Section 10

“Tenant isolation applies to us exactly as it applies to you. The controls in Section 5.1 are not disabled for our own tenant.”

Acceptable use policy

Can the EditWise founder’s agency see my clients or rates?

No. EditWise founder Marko Živić also runs Lumaris Studio, a video production agency that makes technical videos for software companies. Lumaris runs on its own EditWise workspace like any customer and has no access to any other workspace. Isolation is enforced in the data layer, and those controls apply to Lumaris exactly as they apply to every customer.

Sales demos never run from the Lumaris workspace, and nobody at EditWise looks at a customer’s content except for support the customer asked for, a security incident or a legal requirement, with every such access written to the customer’s own activity log. The commitment is also written into the EditWise acceptable use policy, which forms part of every customer’s agreement.

for your agency. Not ours.

Pick a time. We will have your workspace built when you arrive.

The first call is 10 minutes. We build your workspace after it and walk you through it on the second.
