Cookie policy

Last updated 21.10.2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the cookies and similar technologies on editwise.io and in the EditWise app, including client portals and review links, and how you control them.

1. The short version

  • editwise.io sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no session recording and no advertising tags.
  • While you book a call, your browser's session storage keeps your answers until you close the tab.
  • Calendly and YouTube set their own cookies only when you use them: the scheduler, or a video you play.
  • The EditWise app uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure.

2. Session storage on editwise.io

Session storage works like a cookie that never leaves your device and is deleted when you close the tab. We use it only for the booking flow you start.

Key What it keeps Why How long
ew-booking-answers Your answers to the booking form So your answers survive Back, a refresh or a calendar that did not load Until you close the tab
ew-attribution The campaign tags and click identifiers of the link that brought you, and your landing page So your booking carries the campaign that brought you, as our Privacy policy, section 3.2, says Until you close the tab
ew-lead-sent A note that your answers reached us So they are not sent twice Until you close the tab

3. Services that set their own cookies

  • Calendly runs our scheduler. It loads only when you reach the scheduler step of a booking. Calendly sets the cookies it needs to complete your booking, and asks in the scheduler before it sets any others. Calendly's cookie notice explains them.
  • YouTube plays our videos in its privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, YouTube may store data in your browser under Google's own policies.

4. The EditWise app

These cookies are strictly necessary. They need no consent and are always on.

Cookie Set by What it does How long
app session cookie EditWise, in the app and client portals Keeps you signed in 7 days
anti-forgery cookie EditWise, in the app and client portals Protects forms against cross-site request forgery Session

5. If this changes

If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this page first, show a cookie banner that lets you accept or refuse them as easily as each other, and load nothing optional until you choose.

6. Other ways to control cookies

You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the app's strictly necessary cookies, signing in will not work.
