EditWise vs
Workamajig (2026)
Both of us do the setup for you. The difference is when it happens. Workamajig includes implementation in its subscription and runs it after you buy, over two to three months. We build your workspace from your website before you decide, and you walk through it with your own clients in it.
- Workamajig starts at ten users. EditWise starts at five seats.
- In EditWise, your client sees the round count before commenting. Workamajig has no client round price.
Last verified: Workamajig’s price on 19 August 2026, its implementation terms on 20 August 2026, its Capterra scores on 19 August 2026. If something has changed, email marko@editwise.io and we will correct it.
Both put review and
money in one place.
Workamajig is an agency management platform. It includes review and invoicing, with unlimited free external reviewers (checked 19 August 2026). EditWise also joins client review to invoices and client profit, with clients and reviewers free and uncapped. So that is not the difference.
The differences are when the setup happens, how many seats you must buy, what your client sees about rounds, and how people rate using it.
Workamajig implements after you buy.
We build before you decide.
Workamajig includes implementation, training and support in its subscription. That means a structured implementation of two to three months after purchase (checked 20 August 2026). It is set up with you, once you have signed.
With EditWise, you see your own workspace before you pay anything:
-
A 10-minute call inside 48 hours, with the person who builds your workspace.
-
The build. Marko Šipka, our onboarding lead, builds your workspace by hand in about 45 minutes, from your website and that call: your logo and colors, three of your real clients, project templates from your services, an intake form from your questions, and two or three deliverables with versions and comments.
-
A 45-minute call on your own workspace with Marko Živić, our founder, inside a week. If you buy, the workspace becomes yours.
-
Go-live on two live client projects first. Targets: the Review install live in 5 working days, the Full install in 10. They stay targets until ten installs are measured; then we publish the real number.
We agree a go-live date before you pay. Miss it and a month of seats is on us, one month at most.
Workamajig starts at ten users.
EditWise starts at five seats.
Per month, seat lines only, before storage, at published list prices.
- Workamajig
- $49 per user per month from 10 users, $47 from 25, $45 from 50. Ten-user minimum, so the smallest bill is $490 a month (checked 19 August 2026).
- EditWise
- $49 per seat per month billed yearly, or $59 month to month. Five-seat minimum, so the smallest bill is $245 a month on annual. Setup is $1,500 once, included on annual. One price at every size: no tiers, no discounts.
- At 10 people
- Workamajig $490. EditWise $490, the same money.
Workamajig’s 49 USD per user matches our $49 seat from 10 to 24 users and drops below it from 25 users.
Prices exclude applicable tax.
EditWise pricingWorkamajig’s users rate its
ease of use 3.3 out of 5.
On Capterra, Workamajig scores 3.8 out of 5 from 351 reviews. For ease of use it scores 3.3, against a 4.6 average for its category (checked 19 August 2026).
We have no review scores yet. Two agencies pay for EditWise today. We have not measured a customer result yet, so we do not quote one.
So here is how we answer ease of use instead. Your editors see four buttons, and you pick which four. We switch off what you do not use while you watch, and anything switched off turns back on later.
In EditWise, your client
sees the round count
before they comment.
Workamajig has no client round price (checked 19 August 2026). In EditWise, you set the included rounds per client or per project. Your client sees “Round 2 of 3” before they comment. A round past the allowance shows its price before they submit, and with their yes it becomes a line on the next invoice at the agreed rate. The client agrees first, so nobody argues later.
The invoice itself is built from delivered work, time, expenses and custom lines, priced off the client’s agreement, and exported as a PDF. EditWise produces the commercial invoice that carries the line-item record of what was delivered and what was approved, and you file it through your own compliant system. It does not collect payment.
Choose Workamajig if
you want one full
platform and can give
it two to three months.
Choose Workamajig if you run a larger agency that wants one full platform, unlimited client logins and enterprise options, and you can run a two to three month implementation after you buy. Its per-user price matches ours from 10 to 24 users and is below it from 25 users, and implementation, training and support come with the subscription. If that is your situation, it is a sound choice.

Does Workamajig include review?
Yes. It includes review, with unlimited free external reviewers (checked 19 August 2026). We could not verify which file types or markup tools it covers on its own pages, so we do not describe them. Ask for a review on your own files before you buy, as you would with any tool, us included.
Is setup included with both?
Yes, with a different order. Workamajig includes implementation, training and support in its subscription and runs the implementation over two to three months after purchase (checked 20 August 2026). EditWise builds your workspace before you decide; setup is included with an annual plan, or $1,500 once on the monthly plan. Your live work moves in at setup. If you have years of history in another system, we scope the move separately.
How long until we are live?
With Workamajig, two to three months after purchase (checked 20 August 2026). With EditWise, the targets are 5 working days for the Review install and 10 for the Full install, starting with two live client projects. They stay targets until ten installs are measured. We agree your go-live date before you pay, and if we miss it, a month of seats is on us, one month at most.
What is the smallest team either one takes?
Workamajig has a ten-user minimum, 490 USD a month (checked 19 August 2026). EditWise has a five-seat minimum, $245 a month on annual. Prices exclude applicable tax.
Do clients and reviewers cost money?
Not on either. Workamajig includes unlimited free external reviewers (checked 19 August 2026). In EditWise, a paid seat is anyone who is assigned work or logs time; client contacts, external reviewers, guest approvers and stakeholders are free and uncapped.
Why does EditWise have no review scores?
